A lovely house, a great host, everything in the house you could wish for, and really comfortable, you get what you see on the website! A great place to have a holiday, central for a lot of places to visit, Bamburgh, Alnwick etc. The best pub we found was "The Cross Inn " at Paxton, great food and really good prices. We will definitely go again and see some more of the fantastic countryside.

The house was perfect in every way, everything you needed was available, particularly as regards kitchen equipment, every little thing you needed was there. Jan who owns the house is a very lovely lady, we enjoyed ourselves and would go back again and also recommend to our friends.

Duck Retreat is an extremely comfortable, well-equipped cottage furnished to a high standard with very good quality fixtures and fittings. Set on a quiet country lane it affords an ideal base for exploring the area or having a peaceful relaxing holiday, with all amenties only a short drive away. Highly recommended.

Peaceful venue with lovely views. A great pub for evening meals within about a mile. Good food, reasonably priced.
